AUCOIN, JUSTINE (1918-2020)

Justine Doiron 1918-2020 Au Manoir Notre-Dame, le samedi 31 octobre 2020, est décédée suite à une courte maladie à l'âge de 101 ans, Justine Doiron. Elle demeurait autrefois à Rogersville. Née à Rogersville, elle était la fille de feu Placide et Sylvie (Richard) Aucoin. Elle laisse dans le deuil 10 enfants: Claudette Doiron-Thiffault (feu Yvon), Lucille Doiron (Marcel Chalifoux), toutes deux de Montréal, QC, André (Léa) de Moncton, Alfred (Gisèle) de Cocagne, Léa Doiron de Moncton, Émile Doiron du New Hampshire, Vincent (Nancy) de Fitchburg, Mass., Gisèle Léger (Aldeï), Yvette Maillet (Clarence), Rita Richard (Maurice) et un beau-fils, Laurie Babineau, tous de Leominster, Mass.; 22 petits-enfants, 36 arrière-petits-enfants, deux arrière-arrière-petits-enfants, et une arrière-arrière-petit-enfants, une petite fille attendue en décembre qui portera le nom de Justine, son homonyme; ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux. Justine était la dernière survivante de sa famille immédiate. Outre ses parents, elle fut précédée dans la tombe par son époux, Antoine (1995); une fille, Claire Babineau (1er octobre 2020); un fils, Gérald; une bru, Délina Doiron; et deux petits-enfants: David Babineau et Julie Chalifoux; ainsi que ses soeurs et frères: Fidèle, Léo, David, Régina, Flora, Maria, Lucie, et Rita. La famille recevra les condoléances au Centre funéraire et de crémation Frenette, 88, rue Church, Moncton (858-1900) le jeudi 5 novembre de 10h à 12h seulement. En raison de la pandémie, le couvre-visage est obligatoire et un maximum de 50 personnes avec la distanciation sociale doivent être respectés. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Antoine (1995); one daughter, Claire Babineau ( October 1st, 2020); one son, Gérald; daughter-in-law, Délina Doiron; and two grandchildren: David Babineau and Julie Chalifoux; as well as her sisters and brothers: Fidèle, Léo, David, Régina, Flora, Maria, Lucie, and Rita. Antoine J. Gaudet 1919-2020 Moncton, N. -B. - Antoine Gaudet 101, mari de feu Marie Gaudet, de Moncton (originalement de Richibucto) est décédé au centre des anciens combattants à Moncton le mardi 3 novembre 2020 après une longue maladie. Né à Pointe-Sapin, il était le fils de feu Jean-Baptist Gaudet et de feu Esther Dugas. Antoine a servi dans les Forces armées canadiennes pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale comme sergent à Montmagny pendant 5 ans et était membre de la filiale no. 30 de la Légion royale canadienne à Richibucto. Antoine avait une compagnie de construction plusieurs années passées et avait aussi travaillé comme vendeur de voitures et pour Parcs Canada à Kouchibouguac. Il laisse dans le deuil un fils, Charles-Eugene (Germaine Léger) de Shediac; une fille, Héléne Robichaud (Gérald) d'Aldouane; cinq petits-enfants, Marc, Josette, René, Gilles, Gaston et cinq arrière-petits-enfants, Chelsey, Eve, Noémie, Simon et Caleb. Le dernier membre survivant de sa famille immédiate, Antoine fut prédécédé par ses parents, sa femme Marie (Mazerolle) Gaudet; cinq soeurs, Sr. Anna Gaudet N. D. S. Born in Pointe-Sapin, he was the son of the late Jean-Baptist Gaudet and the late Esther Dugas. Antoine served in the Canadian Armed Forces during Second World War as Sergeant in Montmagny for 5 years and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30 in Richibucto. Antoine had a construction company many years ago and he also worked as a car salesman and for Parks Canada in Kouchibouguac. He is survived by one son, Charles-Eugene (Germaine Léger) of Shediac; one daughter, Héléne Robichaud (Gérald) of Aldouane; five grandchildren, Marc, Josette, René, Gilles, Gaston and five great grandchildren, Chelsey, Eve, Noémie, Simon and Caleb. The last surviving member of his immediate family, Antoine was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Marie (Mazerolle) Gaudet; five sisters, Sr. Anna Gaudet N. D. S. Aldéric F. LeBlanc 1920-2021 À l'hôpital Stella-Maris-de-Kent, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, le dimanche 21 février 2021, à l'âge de 101, est décédé paisiblement Aldéric LeBlanc de Bouctouche. Il était l'époux d'Adèle (Poirier) LeBlanc. Né à Bouctouche, il était le fils de feu François et de feu Emma (Savoie) LeBlanc. Il manquera beaucoup à son épouse Adèle, à ses enfants: Guy (Phyllis), Olive Hébert (Paul-Émile), Viola Léger (Bernard), Murielle Savoie (Rhéal), Oriza Léger (Léon), Carmella Albert (John), Léo-Paul (Nicole), Gloria LeBlanc (Henri), Marie-Mai Hébert (Claude), seize petitsenfants et dix-sept arrière-petits-enfants. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses soeurs: Alice Arsenault de Leominster, Mass, Anita Babineau de l'Ontario ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux. Quatre soeurs: Anna, Laura, Modeste, Adèle et quatre frères: Eugène, Louis, Fred et Eddy l'ont prédécédé dans la tombe. Aldéric était un charpentier très bien connu dans la région et ailleurs. Durant la 2ième guerre mondiale, il a été stationné à Petawawa, ON, de 1941 à 1944. Il en était très fier. He was married to Adèle (Poirier) LeBlanc. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late François and the late Emma (Savoie) LeBlanc. Aldéric was a very well-known carpenter in the region and elsewhere. During the 2nd World War, from 1941 to 1944, he was stationed at Petawawa, ON and was very proud of it. He will be sadly missed by his wife Adèle, his children; Guy (Phyllis), Olive Hébert (PaulEmile), Viola Léger (Bernard), Murielle Savoie (Rhéal), Oriza Léger (Léon), Carmella Albert (John), Léo-Paul (Nicole), Gloria LeBlanc (Henri), Marie-Mai Hébert (Claude), sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his sisters; Alice Arsenault of Leominster, Mass, Anita Babineau of Ontario and several nieces and nephews. Aldéric was predeceased by four sisters: Anna, Laura, Modeste, Adèle and four brothers; Eugene, Louis, Fred and Eddy. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, private visitations and funeral will be held at a later date, Interment will be in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste cemetery Bouctouche. MURREL, GERNSIE LINA (1920-2021)

SUNSET ~ Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau for Gernsie Lina Leger, age 100, the former Gernsie Murrell, who passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery. Mrs. Leger, born July 17, 1920, was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Sunset. Gernsie was the wonder and operator of Sunset Cleaners, where she worked as a seamstress, for almost 50 years. She had a heart of gold and was loved dearly by her family. They will miss her sweet soul, but they will forever have her memory in their hearts.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Sonnier Burleigh and her husband, Al, of Sunset; three brothers, George Murrell and his wife, Joyce, Calvin Murrell and his wife, Ritha, and James Murrell and his wife, Linda Kay, all of Sulphur; five sisters, Yvonne Trahan and her husband, Floyd, Veronica Trahan, Mary Louise LaBove and her husband, Sanders, Stella Mae Johnson and her husband, William “Billy”, and Frances Elain Helman, all of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Joseph Sonnier II, Darla Elaine Sonnier, and Robert Aaron Sonnier and his wife, Emily; and six greatgrandchildren, Rachel Elizabeth Johnson, Leah Elaine Johnson, Nicholas Aaron Johnson, Zachary Paul Taylor, Olivia Grace Sonnier, and Lucy Evangeline Sonnier.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph “Lulu” Leger; her parents Joseph Murrell and the former Emilia Benoit; three brothers, William “Billy” Murrell, Wayne Murrell, and Raymond Murrell; one sister, Norma Nassar; one son-in-law, Joseph Sonnier; and three brothers-in-law, Arville Trahan, Clifford Helman, and Philip Nassar.  

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until service time on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Sonnier II, Al Burleigh, Nicholas Johnson, Zachary Taylor, Robert Sonnier, and Kenneth Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers, George Murrell, Calvin Murrell, and James Murrell; her Godchild, David Murrell; and her brothers-in-law, Floyd Trahan, Sanders LaBove, and William “Billy” Johnson.
